Multiuse trail (w/ horses). 4.5 miles out-and-back, but other trails also. Moderate climbs. Some rocks, roots, and creek crossings. Watch for horse poo. Well marked and maintained by the Park.
South of Sulphur on US 177 to buckhorn road. At buckhorn campsite get a trail map from camp host. There is a parking area at south trail head. Or, take right turn just after Bison Overlook, and follow signs to Veterans' Lake. Just after entering lake area, take gravel road to right. Keep to left. Trail head is well marked.
